Dr. Brittany Hoyt

Veterinarian

Dr. Brittany Hoyt wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a young girl. She grew up on a farm in North Dakota caring for all the animals and fell in love with the science and problem-solving that veterinary medicine brings.

Dr. Hoyt received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Kansas State University in 2014. Before moving to Iowa and joining The Hometown Veterinarian in 2020, she practiced large and small animal medicine in Southwest Kansas and Central Minnesota.

She has a special interest in dentistry, and internal medicine, and expanding into emergency medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Independent Veterinary Practitioners Association, and Iowa Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Hoyt is happily married and the mother of three boys. She shares her home with two spoiled cats, Deuce and Smudge. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, quilting, baking, photography, and spending time with her family.
